So I have decided I am sometimes a non-conformist. Perhaps nobody is more surprised than I am. I was always a "don't rock the boat" kind of person. If it wasn't hurting anything, I'd go along with it, just for the sake of keeping the peace. Yeah, not so much anymore. I could tell stories of check-lists, complaints, and various other things. But I won't. I'll just stick with saying I'm becoming more and more outspoken. Because, contrary to popular belief, I don't do stupid.
I should probably work on being less critical, though. I've had some humbling thoughts lately on my (shameful) ability to be incredibly judgmental (not of my friends, mostly just of the people and situations which annoy me). I'm trying to call fewer things (and people) "stupid" and instead acknowledge that I just do and see things differently.
Refer to the last sentence of paragraph one for the status of how I'm doing on this goal. It's been 2 days, and I can't report stellar results. It's harder than it seems. Oh well. Tomorrow's a new day :).
I'm going to CPR training tomorrow for the library. This is exciting for a number of reasons. First and foremost is, of course, the opportunity to mouthify a plastic human. (gross). Actually the real exciting reason is that I don't have to go to regular work. Plus, because it will be more than my regularly scheduled 4 hours for my shift, I also will get to leave early on Saturday. So let me bask in the glory of that for a while :).
The less than exciting part of that? I have to be up at 6:45, since Lea will be here to pick me up at 7:15. Contrary to popular belief, I don't really do mornings. What makes it worse is that, despite my best intentions, I probably will not make it to turning off the lights until midnight tonight. And I am way behind on my reading.
And finally. I think the original scent of Jergens lotion is like the best smell ever. I just used some of my mom's. The Temple's soap in the ladies' bathroom smells like this also. So I guess it turns out that, contrary to popular belief, I'm not as boring as formerly thought.... Not nearly so vanilla with a love of the vanilla scent. I had just forgotten that cherry almond scent that I've loved since my childhood. Thank you, Jergens, for making the best smelling lotion ever.
That is all.
